The Nearness of God

The word “Advent” describes the presence of God, which the world observed in Jesus’ incarnation. The Church also enjoys the divine presence now as we are seated with Christ in the heavenly realm, and in hopeful anticipation of the Lord’s manifest presence when he returns. 

In the following exposition of Deuteronomy 4:9-31, titled “The Nearness of God,” I explain how this blessing is foreshadowed in the history of Israel. Come Lord Jesus!
