Onward Christian Strangers

Every once in a while I see a video on The Gospel Coalition that makes me think: our church would greatly benefit from this. Here is one. I’d encourage you to take time to watch it, if you can.

Russell Moore is President of the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission of the Southern Baptist Convention. In this talk, he explains why the minority position of the church in American culture should not drive us into a siege mentality. Instead, the kingdom of Christ should set our priorities, leading us to heartily embody and proclaim the good news among people who think differently from us. While this enterprise is intimidating, Moore explains why it is full of unspeakable potential.
