Jesus was (and is) the ultimate witness. Remember what he said during dinner at Zaccheus’ home, “For the Son of Man came to seek and save the lost” (Luke 19:10). That was our Lord’s way of declaring that he was devoted to witness.
Such discomfort about Ian and Larissa may reveal a fundamental misunderstanding of Christian marriage. The Bible portrays marriage—especially when entered into by believers—not as a contractual agreement between two parties, but as a covenant relationship before God.
