Thanks for Your Prayers!

Welcome

A hearty thanks to those of you who prayed for my part in the National Outreach Convention this week! My session, titled “Talking with Catholics About Jesus,” attracted former Catholics from all over the country. The Q&A session was especially enjoyable. Much of our discussion focused on the particular challenges and opportunities that we face when discussing the gospel with loved ones during the holidays.

I have also learned some lessons about myself on this trip. I REALLY love networking. Give me a stack of business cards, a convention center full of Christians whom I’ve never met, and set me loose. I think the reason why I find it so enjoyable is because in such interactions you observe the Lord providentially guiding discussions to connect people and resources, to create synergy, and to build bridges that serve the gospel. These are the places where ministry initiatives are born. And, of course, San Diego isn’t a bad place in which to do it (most of my conversations happened in the patio pictured below). This is the climate for which God created my Sicilian body, but that’s a topic for another post.
