Hanging Ten and Hiking through the Forest

Hawaiians are indeed passionate about surfing. Yesterday we had a ball watching them ride through town and to the beach on bicycles (with their surfboards attached) and then, after paddling their boards out to the waves, glide into shore. These photos were taken at Waikiki.

An eight and six-year-old dream, it took only three minutes before we began to “off road” it through the woods, swinging from vines, crawling up hills, & running through river beds. Personally, it reminded me of the  television program of my childhood, “Land of the Lost,” minus the dinosaurs and bell bottoms.
